Spiced nut milk latte
Somedays when I'm feeling a bit fluey and under the weather this spiced nut milk latte literally turns my day around. Spices are my 'go to' food when I'm feeling flat and run down... I throw them in my porridge, my green juice, my eggs, my raw treats, on my veggies, just about anything.
My particular favorite spice would have to be cinnamon. The flavor of cinnamon is crazy delicious for one but did you about the incredible health benefits of consuming this amazing little spice?
The list looks something like this... Anti-clotting, anti-inflammatory, controls blood sugar levels, the scent alone boosts brain activity, high in fibre, manganese and calcium and is known as a naturally warming food. What's not to love really? I hope you love this latte as much as I do.
2 cups of almond milk (I used my home made almond milk)
2 tsp of cinnamon powder
2 tsp of nutmeg
small pinch of turmeric
2 tsp of fresh ginger grated
1 tsp of raw organic honey
Heat all ingredients in a small saucepan for around 5 minutes on a low heat... Bring to the boil, remove from heat and pour into a mug. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg and even a sprinkle of organic coconut sugar. YUM.
